News: Pedestrian seriously injured after hit by SUV on Independence Ave

KANSAS CITY, MO – A man was seriously injured when he was struck by a driver in an SUV at a Kansas City intersection Wednesday night.

A driver in a Chevrolet SUV was traveling westbound on Independence Avenue at Indiana Avenue when they struck a man who was crossing the street, reports FOX4. 

The 65-year-old Kansas City man who was hit was transported to an area hospital for serious injuries.

The driver of the SUV stopped at the accident and was questioned by authorities. The incident remains under investigation.
