News: 1 person dead after falling off vehicle, hit-and-run crash

KANSAS CITY, MO – One person was killed in a crash involving an unknown driver in Kansas City on Sunday.

According to KSHB, the fatal crash happened near 6820 East 14th Street. Two people were in a vehicle when one got out, and as the vehicle drove away, the person jumped on the car and a short distance later, fell off.

The victim was transported to the hospital with critical injuries but died later that night.

The driver fled the scene of the accident. Police are investigating the incident.
