News: 2 injured, 1 seriously, in Lone Jack crash on US-50

LONE JACK, MO – Two people were injured in a crash just outside of Kansas City on Wednesday evening.

The collision happened around 8 p.m. on US-50 at South Outer Belt Extension, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. 

A driver in a Chevrolet heading southbound failed to yield to oncoming traffic and struck an eastbound Dodge.

The driver in the Dodge suffered serious injuries and was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center. The driver in the Chevrolet was admitted at Lee’s Summit Medical Center with moderate injuries.
