News: One person killed in hit-and-run crash in Kansas City intersection

KANSAS CITY, MO – One person was ejected from a vehicle and killed in a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of 63rd Street and Ward Parkway Sunday night.

According to Fox4 News, a black Chevrolet Equinox was traveling west on W. 63rd Street when it ran a stop sign at Ward Parkway. The vehicle crashed into a gray Toyota Camry causing the Equinox to overturn.

One person was ejected from the Equinox’s sunroof when it overturned. Local authroties pronounced the person dead at the crash scene.

Another person from the Equinox fled the crash scene. It is unclear if that person was the driver or not.

Neither of the two people in the Toyota sustained injuries.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
