News: 74-year-old woman injured in rear-end collision on SB I-29
PLATTE COUNTY, MO – A 74-year-old woman sustained minor injuries in a rear-end collision on SB I-29 at mile marker 9 on Thursday afternoon.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Sharon R. Wade, was traveling south on I-29 when it experienced mechanical issues. The vehicle came to a stop in the middle of the interstate. A 2017 Jeep Cherokee, driven by 24-year-old Megan E. Klein, rear-ended the Chevrolet around 3:05 p.m.
Wade was treated for minor injuries at the crash scene.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
The Jeep was totaled and the Chevrolet sustained extensive damages.
