News: Pedestrian killed, driver injured in Overland Park accident

OVERLAND PARK, KS – A pedestrian was killed and a driver injured in an accident on Quivira Rd. near W. 121st St. on Sunday morning.

According to KSHB, a vehicle was attempting to turn north onto Quivira Rd. and hit a southbound vehicle around 10:17 a.m. The struck vehicle lost control and traveled off the road. It hit a pedestrian conducting lawn care.

The male pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where he later passed away.

One of the drivers was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
