News: Hit-and-run leaves pedestrian in critical condition on Independence Avenue

KANSAS CITY, MO – A pedestrian was in critical condition after being struck by a hit and run driver on Independence Avenue Friday morning.

According to the Kansas City Star, the pedestrian was near the intersection of Independence and Brighton Avenues when they were struck by an unidentified red sedan.

The incident reportedly occurred near 1:23 a.m., and the victim was hospitalized and in critical condition. At press time, the pedestrian was said to be in serious condition.
