News: SUV vs Sedan wreck hospitalizes one, demolishes vehicles

OVERLAND PARK, KS – One person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle wreck on Friday that completely tore the engine out of a sedan on Friday morning.

According to KMBC, the crash took place at approximately 3 p.m. near the 137th Street and Quivira Road intersection when a sedan and an SUV collided.

The driver of the SUV was extracted from the vehicle before being sent to an area hospital with a suspected broken ankle.

Authorities report that any injuries sustained by the sedan’s driver were not considered serious.

No word on the cause of the crash at this time.
