News: Pedestrian killed, rider injured in motorcycle vs. pedestrian accident near Racine
NEWTON COUNTY, MO – A wreck involving a pedestrian and a motorcycle resulted in the death of one and serious injury of another near Racine early Tuesday morning.
The MSHP reports that the accident occurred close to 4 a.m. when a 32-year-old woman, Johanna Derose, was walking on Route K when she was struck by a Honda Motorcycle operated by 40-year-old Nicholas Livermore.
Responders declared Derose dead at the scene of the accident.
Livermore was transported to Freeman West Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
