News: Man, 48, hurt after driving off course trying to avoid deer in Leeton

JOHNSON COUNTY, MO – A 48-year-old man was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Leeton Wednesday morning. 

The collision occurred before 6:30 am at MO 13 South and SW 910th Rd, the MSHP traffic crash reports indicated. 

The driver of a 2001 Dodge Ram was trying to avoid hitting a deer on the road. That is when he traveled off course and hit a mailbox. He overcorrected, traveled off the path, and his car rolled over. 

The man was identified as Corey E James. 

James sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
