News: Woman, 71, seriously hurt in Warrensburg crash

WARRENSBURG, MO – Two were hospitalized after a crash on NW U.S. Highway 50 Tuesday morning.

Missouri State Troopers were called to the scene around 6 a.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Live Traffic Report Page

Troopers said a driver of a 2003 Ford was slowing down to turn when a driver of a 2006 Chevrolet failed to slow down, which caused him to hit the back of a 2003 Ford.

The Chevrolet driver, 26-year-old Alexander Jones, sustained minor injuries, while the Ford driver Cathy Randall, 71, of Warrensburg, was seriously injured.

Both were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center. As of yet, troopers did not confirm if Jones will face charges.

More details will be posted if they become available.
