News: Bicyclist sustains serious injuries after SUV strikes him

KANSAS CITY, MO – A male bicyclist sustained serious injuries after an SUV hit him while traveling on Blue River Road on Thursday night.

The Kansas City Star reports a northbound gray Chevrolet Traverse struck a bicyclist with the vehicle’s passenger side and side mirror on Blue River Road at E. Blue Ridge Blvd. around 8:30 p.m.

Local authorities share the bicyclist was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Neither the driver or passenger in the SUV were injured.
