News: Both occupants of rear-ended Harley in serious condition after Pettis County crash

PETTIS COUNTY, MO – A crash Monday night seriously injured two people in Pettis County on US 50, according to the MSHP.

The crash took place around 7:35 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of US 50 at Sadie Lane when a Kia Optima struck the back of a Harley Davidson that had stopped at a red light.

Two occupants were thrown from the Harley. The driver, 50-year-old Charles McGinnis, was taken by EMS to University Hospital. His rider, 32-year-old Katherine Williams, was taken to University Hospital by air. Both were in serious condition.

The Kia went off the road into a ditch after the crash. No injuries are reported from the occupants of that vehicle.
