News: 23-year-old hospitalized after collision with semi-truck on I-70

JACKSON CO., MO – A woman was hospitalized after he vehicle skidded on ice and crashed into a semi-truck in Jackson County on Saturday evening.

According to a report by the MSHP, the crash took place at about 4 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-70 near MO-7.

Troopers believe 23-year-old Katlyn Wilcox lost control of her 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe when it slid on ice and collided with a semi-truck.

Wilcox was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries sustained in the wreck. The driver of the semi-truck was unhurt.
