News: Woman injured in single-vehicle crash on MO-23

LAFAYETTE CO., MO – A woman was transported to the hospital following a single-vehicle crash in rural Lafayette County on Saturday morning.

According to a report by the MSHP, the crash occurred shortly before 5:30 a.m. on MO-23 just south of Centerview Road.

Investigators say 54-year-old Melissa Ashley lost control of her vehicle for unknown reasons, causing it to veer off the right side of the roadway and collide with a fence.

Ashley, a Carrollton resident, was taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
