KANSAS CITY, MO – A woman was rushed to the hospital after a major rollover collision in southeast Kansas City on Thursday night.

According to a report by Fox 4, the crash occurred near 45th Street and Prospect Avenue shortly before 6 p.m..

Investigators believe the driver of a Ford Escape was traveling at a high rate of speed when she lost control and skidded off the roadway. The vehicle then struck a fence, multiple sign poles, and rolled an unknown number of times into a nearby parking lot.

The woman was extricated from her vehicle and rushed to a nearby hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
