News: Woman in critical condition after being hit by Uber driver

SHAWNEE, KA – A woman was hit by an Uber driver in her driveway after being dropped off Sunday evening.

The woman had used an Uber to get home near W 72nd and Cottonwood Streets, reports the Shawnee Mission Post.

The unidentified Uber driver thought the woman was inside her home when they proceeded to back out of the driveway. She was run over and transported to the hospital for life-threatening injuries.

The Shawnee Police Department is still investigating the incident.
