News: Fatal crash in Kansas kills 1, seriously injures another

FORD COUNTY, KS – One man is dead and another seriously injured after colliding on Highway 50 near Spearville this past Monday.

87-year-old Howard Gaylord Moritz was traveling south on Road 126 towards Highway 50, reports FOX4. 

He stopped at the stop sign but failed to yield to a 1996 International semi-tractor-trailer that was traveling westbound on the highway. The collision killed Moritz and seriously injured the 61-year-old truck driver who was transported to Western Plains Hospital.
