News: Pedestrian killed in South Kansas City hit-and-run crash

KANSAS CITY, MO  – A pedestrian died crossing a street when they were hit by a truck in the south end of the city Friday night.

According to KCTV, the person was struck crossing Troost Avenue south of 89th Street by a driver in a pickup truck. The driver fled the scene.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have released an image of a suspected vehicle involved in the crash. It’s a white pickup with cowl lights and possibly has front-end damage.
