News: Fatal hit-and-run crash kills blind pedestrian in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY,  MO – A visually impaired man was killed by a driver while crossing a major street in Kansas City on Friday.

According to The Kansas City Star, the victim was 59-year-old Donald Bellamy. The incident happened near Legacy West Park when he was crossing a street at East 89th Street and Troost Avenue when a driver in a truck hit him.

Police pronounced Bellamy dead at the scene. They are searching for a suspect in a white pickup.
