News: 1 critically injured in two-vehicle head-on collision

KANSAS CITY, MO – One person sustained critical injuries in a serious wreck in northeast Kansas City Friday.

According to KSHB, the collision happened on Cookingham Drive just south of 105th Street. A driver in a Ford SUV heading northbound collided head-on with a southbound Ford sedan.

The sedan’s driver was rushed to an area hospital with critical injuries. Two occupants in the SUV were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
