News: 2 injured in crash after driver flees police, runs traffic signal
KANSAS CITY, MO – Two people were hurt in a crash that happened near Kansas City’s East Side on Monday, reports KSHB.
Police stopped a vehicle near East 34th Street and Indiana Avenue when the driver backed into the police car and fled the scene. The driver sped off northbound on Indiana Avenue.
They proceeded to run through a red light at East 31st Street and Indiana Avenue where they slammed into a pickup truck and one other vehicle.
The impact caused the driver who fled and another vehicle to crash into a commercial building.
Two people were injured including a woman whose vehicle crashed into the building. She was transported to an area hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
