News: 2 killed, 1 injured in Lathrop head-on crash

LATHROP, MO – Two people died and another injured after a head-on collision near Lathrop Wednesday afternoon.

According to KSHB, Christopher McCubbin, 36, of Polo was driving east on MO-116 when he crossed the center line and crashed into an oncoming vehicle.

McCubbin was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver in the vehicle that was hit, Lance Romig, 73, of Kansas City was rushed to an area hospital where he died of his injuries.

A passenger in Romig’s vehicle was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
