News: 2 injured in three-vehicle Lafayette Co. crash

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO – Two drivers were injured after a collision involving three vehicles on I-70 westbound early Friday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened outside of Concordia on the westbound lanes of the interstate near Walkenhorst Road.

Frank Umeokoro, 41, was stationary in his vehicle in the right lane. A driver in a semi-truck and another in a Volvo both crashed into him. The impact caused the semi to overturn before coming to rest.

Umeokoro was transported via LifeFlight to Centerpoint Medical Center with serious injuries.

The driver of the semi-truck, 48-year-old Richard Patton, was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center with moderate injuries.
