News: 2 Kansas City women injured in crash with semi on I-35 SB
KANSAS CITY, MO – Two women were injured after a crash with a tractor-trailer on I-35 in northeast Kansas City Friday morning.
According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, two female occupants of a Kia Forte were traveling south on the interstate north of Vivion Road. A driver in a tractor-trailer was headed southbound and collided with the Kia.
The collision caused the Kia to skid counter-clockwise before crashing into the towed unit of the semi-truck.
Janice Wilson, 66, was driving when the crash occurred. She was transported to North Kansas City Hospital with moderate injuries.
Barbara McCoy, 67, a passenger in the car was also taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
