News Update: Authorities identify both victims of KCMO trash truck crash

KANSAS CITY, MO – Two city workers who died in a trash truck rollover have been identified by city officials this week, reports KSHB.

The fatal accident happened March 1, when a Kansas City trash truck crashed and overturned on the Front Street off-ramp from I-435 northbound. Three city employees were occupants in the truck at the time. One person died at the scene, while another later died at the hospital. The third person is recovering from critical injuries.

Huan Doan, 49, was one of the victims of the crash. He was working as a contract employee for the Public Works Department.

Jamaal McDaniel, 34, also died as a result of the crash. He had been working with the Public Works Department for two years.

This information is an update to a previous post. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
