News: 4 injured, including 3 children in crash with John Deere on US-50

PETTIS COUNTY, MO – A woman and three children were injured after a crash on US-50 near Sedalia Tuesday evening.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 34-year-old Vita Olefirenko was driving with three juvenile occupants on US-50 eastbound near Main Street. A John Deere operator traveling north attempted to cross the roadway in front of the vehicle and crashed into it.

The woman was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center with moderate injuries. Two children aged 2 and 4 sustained moderate injuries. A 12-year-old girl was seriously injured in the crash. All three children were taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

The operator of the John Deere, Cameron Ventors, 34 was uninjured.
