News: Woman injured in Bates Co. crash on I-49

BATES COUNTY, MO – A woman was injured after a two-vehicle crash on I-49 northbound on Monday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kaili McCarl, 25 was headed north on the interstate near Belton when another driver attempted to merge back into oncoming traffic.

As the other driver merged, McCarl was unable to stop and the vehicles collided. She was transported to Cass Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.

The other driver, 40-year-old Joshua Doll, was uninjured in the crash.
