News: Driver killed, passenger seriously injured in Cass Co. crash

HARRISONVILLE, MO – A woman died and a man was injured after a single-vehicle crash in Cass County Tuesday night.

According to FOX4, the fatal crash happened on South Prospect Avenue north of East 241st Street around 11 p.m.

Michelle L. Borst, 40, of Kansas City was driving when the vehicle went off the roadway and went airborne after striking a bridge. The vehicle landed on its top in a nearby creek.

Borst was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.

A male passenger was rushed to Research Hospital with serious injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
