News: Deadly crash involving two semi-trucks sparks massive fire on I-70

KANSAS CITY, KS – One person was killed following a crash between two semi-trucks on I-70 in Wyandotte County on Friday morning.

Around 7:30 a.m. two drivers heading westbound crashed their semi-trucks on I-70 near I-435, reports KCTV. A massive fire broke out after the impact.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. At least one other person was injured in the crash.

The interstate was closed in both directions for some time. The incident remains under investigation.
