News: 2 injured after head-on collision on Highway 13

JOHNSON COUNTY, MO – Two drivers were hurt following a head-on collision on Highway 13 Monday morning reports the Missouri State Highway Patrol. 

Imran Ahmed, 29, was traveling northbound on Highway 13 near Route H when he crossed the center divide into oncoming traffic. He collided head-on with a Ford driven by Santos A. Timoteo, 35.

Timoteo was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Ahmed was seriously injured and transported to Centerpoint Hospital.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
