News: 4 injured after driver fell asleep at wheel causing crash on US-36
OSBORN, MO – Four people, including a 4-year-old child, were hurt in a two-vehicle crash on US-36 Thursday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision happened as Hunter L. Martin, 36, fell asleep while driving a Ford F350 eastbound on the highway near Fairview Road. The truck veered off the north side of the roadway.
Another driver in a Ford F150, 49-year-old Mathew D. Arnold, was attempting to turn onto Fairview Road when he was struck by the other vehicle.
34-year-old Bailey A. Pickering and a child aged 4, were occupants in the pickup Martin was driving. They were both taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center with injuries.
Arnold also suffered minor injuries and was taken to the same hospital.
Martin refused medical treatment at the scene.
