News: Independence man killed after two-vehicle crash on Hwy 69

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, MO – A 39-year-old man died after a collision in Clay County on Monday morning reports FOX4.

The collision happened on Highway 69 southbound at Rhodus Road around 7 a.m. Joseph L. Knife, 39, of Independence, was driving a Jeep when he failed to yield to a driver in a Chevrolet and crashed into the right side of the vehicle.

Knife was rushed to Liberty Hospital where he died of his injuries.

The driver and a passenger in the Chevrolet were both taken to Liberty Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
