News: Motorcyclist in critical condition after Kansas City hit-and-run

KANSAS CITY, MO – A motorcyclist was critically injured after being struck by a driver in Kansas City on Sunday evening.

A driver in a Ford Focus was headed northbound on The Paseo near East Armour Boulevard when they attempted a U-turn in the middle of the roadway, reports KMBC. A motorcyclist on a Kawasaki Ninja was traveling at a high rate of speed when they struck the left side of the Ford.

The person on the motorcycle was ejected and was not wearing a helmet.

The driver of the Ford fled the scene heading southbound on Paseo Boulevard. The vehicle was too damaged to drive any further so the driver and an unidentified man pushed the Ford into a driveway at 3644 Paseo.

They then fled on foot.

No further details on the incident have been released at this time.
