News: Pedestrian struck and killed while crossing street in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – A man was killed after being hit by a driver while crossing a street in southeast Kansas City on Saturday, reports Fox 4.

The pedestrian was crossing East 87th Street heading north near Newton Avenue when a westbound driver in a Ford Mustang struck the man.

The victim was identified as 51-year-old Brian D. Thalblum, of Leawood, Kansas. He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver was uninjured. No further details on the cause of the fatal crash have been released.
