News: 1 killed, another seriously injured after head-on collision on MO-52

FRANKLIN TWP, MO – One man died and another was seriously injured following a head-on crash on MO-52 in Miller County last week.

The fatal crash happened last Tuesday, April 5 on the highway just west of Meadowbrook Road, reports the Missouri State Highway Patrol. 

Chester W. McComb, 65, of Olean was driving westbound on the highway when he crossed the center lines and struck an oncoming Chevrolet Cruze.

The driver in the Chevrolet, 57-year-old Steven D. Thomson, of Eldon, was pronounced dead at the scene.

McComb suffered serious injuries and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital.
