News Update: 4 remain critical after apartment fire caused by arson
KANSAS CITY, MO – Fifteen people were injured and four remain in critical condition after an apartment complex fire in Kansas City last week.
According to KCTV, the fire was intentionally set by a person in the stairwell at Stonegate Meadows Apartments on East 42nd Street near Pittman Road.
After evacuating residents from the building, a total of fifteen, including nine children were taken to area hospitals with injuries. Two children and two adults are in critical condition.
Investigators for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms have not yet found the suspect and are seeking the public’s help with a $5,000 reward for anyone with information.
