News: Semi-truck driver injured after equipment failure on WB I-70

SALINE COUNTY, MO – A man was hurt after being involved in a tractor-trailer accident along the westbound lanes of I-70 Monday night.

According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 22-year-old Chase D. McDonald, of Liberty was headed west on the interstate near milepost 70 when the 2018 Kenworth he was driving had an equipment failure.

The semi-truck veered off the right side of the roadway and struck a guard rail.

McDonald was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No one else was hurt in the crash.
