News: Pedestrian fatally struck by tractor-trailer in Lawrence County

MONETT, MO – A man was killed when a driver in a tractor-trailer struck him in Lawrence County Friday morning.

The fatal crash happened around 7:30 a.m. on private property just off Chapell Drive in Monett reports the Missouri State Highway Patrol. 

49-year-old Troy A. Dunlop, of Exeter, was traveling eastbound in a 2000 Freightliner when he struck an unoccupied, parked tractor-trailer. He then hit a 69-year-old man.

The victim, Randy D. Hance, of Rolla, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
