News: Driver suffers medical emergency, causes 3-vehicle crash on I-70

JACKSON CO., MO – A man was taken to the hospital after suffering a medical emergency and crashing on I-70 this afternoon.

According to a report by the MSHP, the collision occurred at about 1:27 p.m. near the Adams Dairy Parkway.

Troopers say 28-year-old Dustin Cross suffered an unspecified medical emergency, causing his vehicle to slam into the median. Debris from the initial wreck then struck two additional vehicles on the freeway.

Cross was transported to Centerpoint hospital with moderate injures. The other two drivers involved were unhurt.
