News: 2 injured in rear-end collision on MO-7 in Cass Co.
CASS CO., MO – Two people were sent to the hospital following a rear-end collision near Garden City this afternoon.
According to the MSHP, the crash happened at about 4 p.m. in the southbound lanes of MO-7 near the Sycamore Grove exit.
Troopers say the driver of a 2015 Ford Fusion was attempting to pass a 2007 GMC when the two collided, causing both vehicles to veer off the right side of the roadway.
The driver of the GMC, a 70-year-old man, was flown to Research Hospital of Kansas City with serious injuries. The other driver involved, a 36-year-old man, was also hospitalized with moderate injuries.
A 20-year-old passenger of the Ford suffered minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene.
