News: Driver killed in single-vehicle collision in Lee’s Summit
LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – A single-vehicle collision in the Lee’s Summit area on Thursday night claimed the life of one man, Fox 4 reports.
The crash happened at about 11 p.m. along MO-291 near the intersection with Langsford Road.
Officers say the unidentified driver of a Nissan van crashed into a traffic signal, causing it to veer into the oncoming lanes of the highway.
The driver was thrown from the van as a result of the crash. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
