News: Three people injured in Kansas City head-on collision

KANSAS CITY, MO – Three people were injured in a head-on collision after which a truck crashed into the Freedom Fire Ministries building at 1111 E. 85th St. early Tuesday morning.

According to Fox4 News, a red Chevrolet Silverado was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Troost Avenue just after midnight. The Chevrolet traveled into oncoming traffic and hit a white Nissan Altima head-on. This impact caused the Chevrolet to travel down an embankment and crash into the Freedom Fire Ministries building.

The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. A driver and passenger in the Nissan were transported to a local hospital for serious injuries. Their current conditions are unknown.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
