News: Woman, infant injured in State Highway HH accident

SMITHTON, MO – A 63-year-old Bunceton woman and an infant were injured in a crash on State Highway HH east of Glenn Rd. on Monday night.

Brenda S. Thurman was traveling east on State Highway HH in a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. She struck a piece of farm equipment traveling west on State Highway HH that was partially in the eastbound lanes of the highway.

Thurman and the infant were transported to Bothwell Hospital for minor injuries. The driver of the farm equipment, 67-year-old Richard G. Helmig, was not injured in the crash.

MSHP reports the Chevrolet sustained minor damages. The farm equipment was not damaged.
