News: Two people injured in two-vehicle collision on MO-240

MARSHALL, MO – Two people sustained injuries in a crash at the intersection of MO-240 and Lime Ave on Wednesday afternoon.

Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 2013 Chevrolet, driven by 26-year-old Tyler E. Girard, was traveling south on Lime Ave. A 2010 Dodge, driven by 27-year-old Rebecca R. Sanders, was traveling east on MO-240. The Chevrolet traveled across MO-240 and struck the Dodge around 12:50 p.m. MSHP reports the impact caused both vehicles to travel across the road and land in ditches.

Sanders sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital. A male passenger in the Dodge was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital for minor injuries. Both injured parties were wearing seat belts.

Girard was not wearing a seat belt.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damages.
