News: Teenager sustains serious injuries in Kansas City scooter accident

KANSAS CITY, MO – A teenager sustained serious injuries while on a scooter after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of E. 93rd St. and Wallace Ave. on Saturday night.

FOX4 News reports a teenager was traveling north on E. 93rd St. on a scooter and failed to stop at the intersection of Wallace Ave. A white Cadillac Deville traveling west on E. 93rd St. struck the teenager.

The scooter did not have any lights. Local authorities report the Cadillac driver remained at the scene and was not injured.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing. Police do not suspect impairment was a factor.
