News: Three people injured in Wyandotte County rear-end collision

KANSAS CITY, KS – Three people sustained injuries in a rear-end collision involving three people in a construction zone on EB I-70 late Saturday night.

According to WIBW, a 2009 Nissan Altima, driven by 31-year-old Tyler Steven Sullivant was completely stopped about a mile east of I-435 due to construction traffic on EB I-70 around 11:36 p.m.

A 2014 Nissan Murano, driven by 28-year-old Quinn Marie Barker, was slowing to stop behind the Altima. Anthony Wagner, 28, was traveling behind the Murano in a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado and failed to stop causing the Chevrolet to rear-ended the Murano.

The impact pushed the Murano onto the right shoulder of the highway and the Chevrolet proceeded to rear-end the Altima as well.

Wagner sustained minor injuries but refused to be transported to a hospital. A passenger in the Chevrolet, 28-year-old Morgan Ann Hubbard, was transported to University of Kansas Hospital for potential injuries. Barker was also transported to University of Kansas Hospital for potential injuries.

Sullivant was not injured in the crash. None of the three passengers in the Altima sustained injuries either. Those passengers included 31-year-old Molly Kathyrn Sullivant, 31-year-old Paul F. Krogmeier, and 30-year-old Katie L. Krogmeier.

All drivers and passengers were reportedly wearing their seat belts.
