News: Local authorities close section of WB I-70 due to semi crash, oil spill
INDEPENDENCE, MO – A three-vehicle crash, involving a semi and fuel spill, caused local authorities to close a section of WB I-70 on Tuesday night.
According to KCTV5, a semi and two other vehicles were involved in a crash on WB I-70 around 8 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
The semi spilled fuel over a quarter mile area due to a fuel tank rupture from the crash. Missouri Department of Transportation and local authorities are working to clean up the spill. It is unclear when the interstate will reopen.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
