News: Driver seriously injured in semi crash in Kansas City intersection
KANSAS CITY, MO – A driver sustained serious injuries in a collision with a semi at the intersection of NE 40th St. and N. Kimball Dr. on Thursday morning.
KCTV5 reports a sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed on westbound NE 40th St. when the driver ran the stop sign at N. Kimball Dr. A semi traveling on N. Kimball Dr. attempted to stop but struck the sedan around 6:15 a.m.
The 18-year-old male driver of the sedan was transported to a local hospital for serious injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt. Local authorities report he is in stable condition.
No other injuries were reported.
