News: 50-year-old passenger dies in SB I-35 crash, driver seriously injured
KANSAS CITY, MO – A 50-year-old female passenger was killed and the driver seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on SB I-35 early Sunday morning.
KSHB reports a 2008 Ford Escape was traveling south on I-35 when it veered off the interstate for unknown reasons and struck the base of an overhead sign around 12:35 a.m.
A passenger in the vehicle, Teresa Bishop, was pronounced dead at the crash scene.
The driver was transported to a local hospital for serious injuries.
